The Women played their Foursomes Championship over 27 Holes on Wednesday with 30 players competing. Defending Champions Christine Clark and Adrienne Smith were uncatchable with a score of 130, runners up were Henny Oldenhove and Denise Paluch 141. Net Winners were Susan Barnett and Robyn Jones 108. Thursday’s event was a Medley Stableford with 68 players, close scores in both Divisions requiring countbacks to define the winners. In Division 1 (0 to 19), Stuart Johnston (11) continued his good form from Tuesday with 35 points to win from Nathaniel Beverley (10) on countback. Division 2 (20 – 45) was won by Hans Jansen (24) with 35 points on countback from Scott Burley (22). Other good scores from Peter Bush, Walter Bortoletto, Dirk Winwood, Peter Moxon, Garry Thurlow and Edward Beaton all on 34, and you needed 31 or better for the ball rundown. Runners up with 71 were the Coffs Harbour Team of Rebecca Goldsmith, Jodi Murdoch, Lyndsay Smith and Rebecca Gill. The Net winners were from Frederickton comprising Sue Webster, Sharon Worthing, Narelle McMillan and Lyn Thomas with 59.37. Runners up with 59.87 from Club Taree were Cindy Googh, Debroah Creaighton, Jo-Ann Richardson and Margaret Wynter. The Man’s Foursomes were played on Saturday with our best ever field of over 30 pairs participating. Foursomes Champions for 2022 are Gregory McCoy and Urpo Ylinen, scoring 79 over the 18 Holes.
