The Oyster Hut was far from high and dry as too was the Boatshed Restaurant on Marine Drive.

But it was business as usual at the Boatshed Restaurant.

Diners who normally look out on the water were paddling in it but no one seemed to mind.

Boatshed owner Clarrie Davison has seen it all before.

“It happens quite often, maybe five or six times a year,” Clarrie told News Of The Area.

But he did admit it was an unusually high tide.

“There was the Super Moon and a low pressure system, normally it wouldn’t have come over.”

On Tuesday and Wednesday of last week, the King Tide came in at around two metres.

But after nearly 20 years at the Boatshed, Clarrie, staff and customers waded through in fine style.

“They (the diners) love it, sometimes you’ve got to book a seat.”

“I think it was a positive from everyone,” Mr Davison told News Of The Area.
