With the rapidly closing entrance, they are now in jeopardy as is the health of our vital river system. Again we must emphasise to those authorities that the proposed dredging program must be brought forward and the monies allocated. The State and Federal Governments do have funds available and must support MidCoast Council in maintaining our river. This community and it’s thousands of visitors and holiday makers depend on a clean waterway, fed by fresh oceanic water and providing the marine life nature meant us to enjoy.
