Woolley and Rhonda Carruthers, being presented with their prizes by Tournament Director Lisa
Dale.

MYALL Park Tennis club held its annual over 35s tennis tournament last weekend in Hawks Nest.

Fifty visitors and locals played in the tournament, which included mens, ladies and mixed doubles events.

The tournament was sanctioned by Tennis Seniors NSW and Tennis NSW, and is now a regular feature
on the annual tournament calendar.

Tournament Director and past president of the club, Lisa Dale, was pleased by the player turnout and
how the tournament went.

“It was great to see everyone enjoying both the competitive tennis, drinks and nibbles at the tennis club, and the many attractions available in town over the weekend.”

Upcoming events at the tennis club include an Open Day on Sunday, 20 November, and a Christmas Party and BBQ for members on Saturday, 26 November.

The Open Day will offer an opportunity for anyone, including kids, to go along to the Myall Park courts and have a free hit using racquets and balls provided by the club.

There will also be an opportunity for attendees to try out Pickleball, which is now played on a regular basis at the courts.

Visitors can book courts online, both during the day and in the evening, at: https://play.tennis.com.au/MyallParkTennisClub

The club’s hosting of the seniors tournament was assisted by the generous sponsorship of the Tea Gardens Country Club.
