Myall Masters Swimmers, Lock, Sefton and King FEATURED Sport by NOTA - December 24, 2014 The Myall Masters Swimming Club were riding on a wave of success in season 2014 with 3 Myall Swimmers being in the top 10 in the 2014 Master Swimming Australia Series. Chris Lock, Trina Sefton and Peter King The 3 swimmers were; Chris Lock 1st in 70-74 age group, Christine Sefton 4th in 40-44 age group, Peter King 5th in 80-84 age group. This is a fantastic result given the relatively small size of Myall club which featured prominently as a club with a top 5 club participation. In other club news 3 swimmers competed in the Port Macquarie carnival with Peter King winning 4 events, Chris Mobbs gaining top 3 placings in his freestyle events & David Olsen gaining top placings in a red hot field for his age group. Myall Club gained a top 10 club result with these 3 swimmers. In the local Super Sprint series heat winners for Monday 15th December were Mal Motum, Ian Sunner, Chris Sefton, Chris Lock & Kate Maddison who all gained maximum points on the evening. There were some very competitive heats during the evening with the heat won by Chris Lock seeing 5 swimmers finishing within half a second of each other. Following Monday nights heats a very successful Christmas function was held at ANZAC Park opposite the Tea Gardens pool. Swimming will continue over the Christmas /New Year period on Monday evenings commencing at 5.30pm at Tea Gardens pool.
