Or media@newsofthearea.com.au Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE Addressing representatives from the regions Chambers of Commerce last week, NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the budget is built on the back of solid economic management, enabling the Government to offer something for everyone. “The NSW economy has been exceptionally strong over the last few years with the outlook for growth to remain above trend for the next three years,” he said. “This would mark six years of above trend economic growth for NSW, a feat not seen since the 1990s.” In addition to the $50 million splurge for MidCoast roads and the million-dollar upgrade for Tea Gardens Police Station recently announced by the NSW Premier, member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead said the budget also includes many initiatives “to help ease the cost of living” for families. “The new Creative Kids Rebate provides families with a $100 voucher per school aged child for extra-curricular activities such as music, drama, coding and language classes, complementing the existing Active Kids Rebate announced in last year’s budget,” he said. “We will be establishing an online ‘one-click energy switch’ program through Service NSW, allowing consumers to find and change to the cheapest energy deals in the market.” Mr Bromhead said establishing a “Cost of Living Service” to provide easy access to rebates and concessions, subsidising preschooling, slashing registration fees for caravanners and reducing the cost of Compulsory Third Party Green Slips are amongst the many initiatives aimed at “putting more money back into the pockets of families”. “It is satisfying to be part of a Government who are delivering for the people of Myall Lakes,” he said.
