With five weeks to Christmas, tourism has been taking off with lots of local hospitality and catering jobs being advertised on social media in the lead up to the Christmas holidays.

A quick update:

• St Johns Op shop Bulahdelah will be opening Mondays in addition to the normal Friday and EFTPOS is safely available.
• Tea Garden’s Ice Cream Shack, a long time favorite, have reintroduced tables and chairs outside safely in accordance with COVID guidelines, as have many local eateries so stay local for eating out.

• Or drift slowly and cook a snag aboard a Tea Gardens BBQ boat which include glass sides for safe close dolphin viewing.

Please remember despite all the rain it is fire season and we have had a number Very High warnings issued, the level at which all fire permits are suspended.

Ensure you maintain a current bush fire survival plan and keep yourself informed about conditions and be ready to act if necessary.
