The megafauna were the giant reptiles, birds and marsupials which once roamed Australia. Ronnie went on to talk about the advances in dating techniques, nuclear radiation and its role in biological and mineral dating and dna in fossils. The success of her presentation was such that the U3A has scheduled another talk by Ronnie Nichols on Friday 20 July. By Margie TIERNEY
