BEHIND every local sporting association for our children is a group of volunteers who keep the wheels turning and ensure our youngsters get to play their favourite sport.

Myall Coast Little Athletics Centre (MCLAC) has only just finished its season but its committee is already looking ahead to the start of the 2017-2018 season.
School visits are being planned with a special representative from Little Athletics NSW on hand to chat with the children and speak of the benefits of getting on the track.
Myall Coast Little Athletics would also like to thank all the volunteers, parents and sponsors for their ongoing support.
“A very special thanks to our Major Sponsors, Myall Pharmacy and the Tea Gardens Country Club Motel for their ongoing support over the years and $1500 sponsorships for the 2016-17 season,” Secretary Melisa Brown said.
“Both of these businesses are part of the MCLAC family and allow us to keep the centre going.”
“Our Silver sponsors in 2016-17 were Brighter Beginnings and Auroras Chinese Takeaway, both being first time sponsors and boosting our core funding pool with $500 sponsorships.”
MCLAC was also very fortunate to receive a number of donations throughout the year from Kelly’s Famous Bakehouse with continuous donations of bread for the weekly barbeques, the Anglican Church Parish of Bulahdelah & Tea Gardens donated $500 and Lazy Paddles donated a major prize for the Christmas raffle valued at $400.
The Lioness Club of Tea Gardens Hawks Nest, made a $2,000 donation following a Myall Coast Entertainers community disbursement, with the funding reserved for the 2017-18 season.
For new or continuing Little Athletes and/or sponsorship pledges, please contact Melisa Brown, MCLAC Secretary, on 0457 671 400.
