MEMBERS of the Myall Art and Craft Centre have been working long and hard over the winter months creating rugs to be donated to the residents of Peter Sinclair Gardens Aged Care Facility in Hawks Nest.

Much work and love have gone into the rugs.

Janette Coppock told News Of the Area, “The lovely rugs are knitted and assembled by Myall Art and Craft members.”

The team, led by Dianne Taylor has been creating the rugs and quilts for many years.

But the work they do wouldn’t be possible without the donations of wool and fabric from the local community and Craft centre members.

Dianne Taylor said, “It is a wonderful way to use our skills and love of creating to contribute to our community.”

“We hope that these rugs provide much comfort for the residents.”

Peter Sinclair Gardens, which began its life as Myall Lodge back in 2002 with just 10 beds, is now home to more than 60 full time residents.

The Myall Art and Craft Centre is always looking for new members.

Whether you like to paint, knit, quilt, frame pictures, create mosaics, the list is endless of what’s on offer at the Myall Street Centre.
