Funds will be donated to Support Act, the only Australian charity dedicated to helping workers in the music industry through times of crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The support we have received from local musicians donating their time, audience participation as well as all the donations have been fantastic,” said RED-C Director Jane Reidy.

“RED-C are so happy to be able to help out this great cause, as we believe the creative arts are so important to our community, we really can’t do without them,” she said.

Local performers Benny Black, The Black Tooth Grin and Pleasing George will be rocking RED C’s mainstage on Saturday 29 August from 6pm.

Pleasing George will be opening the show with a great mix of rock and blues.

Benny Black and his band will have you moving to the beat with some indie-rock songs, while The Black Tooth Grin are a local hard rocking, blues-based three-piece band who will get the blood pumping with influences such as AC/DC, The Living End and The Cult.

Mrs Reidy told News of The Area that RED C has been involved in many community fundraising causes.

RED C encourages community participation in the arts and culture, including live music, art exhibitions, cultural events, and private functions as well.

In the past, RED C has hosted the Coffs Cares Bushfire Appeal, the Rock the Coast headspace Fundraiser, and has fundraised for the local All Sports Club,

All profits raised in the normal course of business at RED C go back into promoting cultural advancement on the Coffs Coast.
