Port Macquarie resident and businessman Kieren Dell was appointed to the position until 30 June, 2025.

Mr Conaghan said Mr Dell will lead a RDAMNC focused on driving investment and local procurement opportunities, and through this, creating jobs and economic growth for our regions.

“I look forward to working with Mr Dell and the RDAMNC members and staff over the coming years and encourage the community to reach out to their RDA to discuss how it can help business succeed,” he said.

Mr Dell is the CEO of Majestic Cinemas, a business that he started 18 years ago after purchasing the Nambucca Heads Cinema with a group of partners and investors.

“I am excited about taking on the position of Chair of RDAMNC and gaining a better understanding of how I can use this appointment to help improve the region,” Mr Dell said.

“The Mid North Coast is relatively undiscovered when it comes to major investment, and there are definite opportunities for improvements in infrastructure to help cope with the growing population.

“Encouraging innovation in existing businesses and support for those looking to start new enterprises is also an area of importance to me.”

Mr Conaghan met with Mr Dell, CEO of RDAMNC Kerry Grace and the newly appointed Employment Facilitator for Cowper Janine Culnane on Friday, January 22 in Port Macquarie.

Ms Culnane’s role includes helping job seekers find work under the Federal Government’s $62.8 million Local Jobs Program.

Mr Conaghan said the Employment Facilitator will work on-the-ground in Cowper to support employers and job seekers to connect with employment and training opportunities.

He said the Employment Facilitator will also chair a Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce addressing the needs of the Cowper electorate.
