Garnett’s Salon donated the cost of the hair cut, and welcomed Hannah, her family and friends, and Variety Club representatives into the salon to witness this very special hair cut. Prior to this week, the only haircuts Hannah had had were small trims to keep her long, straight blonde hair healthy. Garnett carefully sectioned off and measured Hannah’s tresses, while she giggled with a mix of nerves and excitement. The Variety Club’s Chairman of Motoring Events for Regional NSW, Kevin Leahy, told News Of The Area, “On behalf of Variety and the kids in the Hair with Heart program for children with alopecia, we just want to say a massive thank you!” Hannah made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating her hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting one to two years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety the Children’s Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids to simply enjoy being a kid. Hannah’s current total sits at $2287.60, but she still has time for anyone who wishes to donate to join her final tally. You can find her at https://alopecia.everydayhero.com/au/hannah-s-hair.
