Both girls credite their parents approach to their studying and HSC as being a great help to them. “Yes they encourage us to study but have also told us, just do the best you can, if you don’t get the mark or ATAR you want or need then that’s ok, there are so many other options these days to pursue the career you want,” Kristen told News Of The Area. Kristen has chosen a career as a Vet Nurse, and has completed her certificate 2 while being at school and will enrol in Tafe at Kurri to complete her Certificate 4. Danielle has applied at Newcastle University to start Primary School Teaching but said that if she doesn’t get the required ATAR that is okay, she is prepared to complete NewStart to accomplish her career goals. Both girls have completed their English exams, with Science up next. Danielle told News Of The Area, “We are as nervous as anything but we both are going to do the best we can, that’s all we can do.” News Of The Area wishes Danielle, Kristen and all year 12 students the very best with their exams.
