MEDOWIE Rural Fire Brigade put on a wonderful day of fun, learning and awareness on Saturday, hosting an open day along with Rural Fire Service brigades all over the state.

Despite an early morning turn of the weather, putting the smooth running of activities in doubt, the sun came out and a wonderful day was had by all.

Activities included a kitchen fire demo, ‘Mighty mike’ fire truck simulation truck for kids, a hose target game, house fire smoke simulator tent, quad bikes, fire truck tours and safety and awareness talks.
