Medowie Gym increases its membership Medowie, Ferodale, Campvale by News Of The Area - Modern Media - July 20, 2016 Jacki and Jarad with their newest little member, five-week old Piper. WHEN long term Medowie resident, Jarad Ashpole, met Jacki Down, little did he know what their future would hold. The pair met while Jacki was running her own successful gym in Sydney, before she took a leap of faith and moved the business to Medowie to be with Jarad. They have not only made Medowie their home, but have succeeded in bringing about positive change for many locals. A year on they stand united, with more than 70 members, 2 additional trainers, and a new baby girl to add to their blended family. They have extended their training space twice to further accommodate their growing client base, and now run classes in their 3 bay shed, and large outdoor covered area. In addition to the 18+ classes every week, they also have new programs starting soon. Another Medowie local business, Medowie Yoga, will be joining them on Tuesdays for a ten-week program, as well as Olympic lifting on Thursday mornings. On 21 July, Jacki and Jarad will be running a Charity Boot Camp to join forces with Medowie Rugby’s Breast Cancer charity day. Members are $5 and non-Members are $10 and all proceeds will be forwarded to the Rugby club to include with all the money they raise on the day for the Hunter Breast Cancer charity. On 15 August they also have their final 6-week fat loss challenge for the year. This one looks like it will be one of their biggest, and they invite you to join in. Jacki and Jarad have built a wonderful environment where they aim to make Medowie residents feel comfortable, and to help them aim for a better quality of life, and healthier outlook. Jacki told News of the Area, “Our kids have really taken to the gym life. They are always wanting to be around classes, and wanting to be more active.” “Our classes are family friendly, and we think that if the kids need to come with their parents, then that will ultimately rub off on the children and this sets a great example,” said Ms Down. Medowie News Of The Area look forward to following Jacki and Jarad’s endeavours, and helping to support local small businesses.
