The event, named ‘Newcastle’s Ultimate Dad Bod’, is a charity event supporting the Black Dog Institute, The Crown and Anchor hotel in Newcastle have teamed up with the Black Dog Institute to ensure that all money raised goes towards research into suicide prevention, clinical treatment and education programs across Australia that will assist earlier and more accurate diagnosis of mood disorders. Medowie Father of three, Reece, is one of ten finalists that will be judged on Friday night, at 7:30pm at the Crown and Anchor Hotel, Newcastle. Each of the ‘Dad Bod’ entrants will strut their stuff in two different themes. The contestants will participate in the ‘Beach Wear’ section, and will then perform for the judges in their self-chosen ‘theme wear’ that suits their individual personality. Reece told News Of The Area, “My motivation to take part is because i believe it is such a worthy cause.” “I have had friends and family affected by mental health, so it is an important issue that is close to my heart.” “I think it’s certainly a fantastic cause to raise awareness for, and be a part of,” he said.
