EVERY day in Australia, around fifty women are told they have breast or gynaecological cancer, and 12 of those statistically succumb to the disease, according to the Pink Ribbon organisation that supports fundraising and research in to Women’s Cancer.

Two Medowie businesses are getting behind the cause, and encouraging us all to get on board and help raise some much needed funds for these terrible diseases.

The wonderful people at Project Health and Fitness Gym, and Century 21 Real Estate are fundraising respectively during the month of October, and they’re encouraging the community to get involved too.

Project Health and Fitness will be running a number of events, with a goal of $500.

They already raise $120 at a recent boot camp, and are now selling Special edition breast cancer singlets (pictured on some members), with $10 from every singlet going to the cause.

If you’d like a delicious way to support the cause, come on down to the Century 21 office this Saturday 8 October.

The girls will be clad in pink, and cooking a bbq on the lawn outside their office for a gold coin donation.

They will also have cupcakes, show bags and balloons.

Raffle tickets are available for the entire month of October – $2 per ticket for a chance to win a Pink Kitchen aid mixer, valued at over $800.

Tickets are available at the BBQ or from the Century 21 office.

Winner will be drawn 1 November.
