This year the Branch Point Score meet was bigger than ever attracting swimmers from all over the State.

“177 swimmers were registered”, Myall Masters President Chris Lock said,”We’re 30 percent up on last year, it’s amazing.”

The day long event attracted swimmers aged in their early 20’s to 95 year old Valerie Lincoln from the Central Coast Seagulls Club.

“It’s the hospitality,” laughed President Chris Lock.

“They love the friendly atmosphere and it’s great for the town, some swimmers stay over, for others it’s not a long trip home.”

After an early start, the swimmers will still pounding up and down the lanes, seemingly oblivious to a late afternoon thunderstorm.

And just a reminder that a number of members from the Myall Masters Swimming Club have set themselves a challenge to raise money for the Starlight Foundation.

They are in the midst of a 30 day challenge to swim as many kilometres as possible to raise at least $480 for the foundation which is so vital to children battling life threatening illness.
