Margarette Smith celebrates 90 years Bulahdelah, Wootton, Nerong FEATURED by NOTA - March 18, 2015March 17, 2015 On Saturday the 7 March about 100 people attended the 90th birthday of Margarette Smith at the Bulahdelah Bowling Club. Margarette Smith and her family Margarette was the eldest child of Harold and Esther Tull and grew up in Booral and the surrounding district, seeing lots of changes in her time. Margarette enjoys the new technology of Facebook (we will check to see if she has “LIKED” Myall Coast News) and the mobile phone to keep her up to date with her many friends and family members. Margarette married an English sailor and travelled throughout Australia before settling in Raymond Terrace. Margarette lost her husband Stan in 1997 and Gloria, one of her 10 daughters in 1999. She moved to Bulahdelah around 2007. Margarette is nana to 36 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren and 12 great great Grandchildren. Guests travelled from as far as Adelaide, Mildura, and Coffs Harbour to celebrate with her, she was one of the last to leave the club still remaining until after midnight. The guests danced to the talented Kyle’s live house entertainment from Raymond Terrace.
