Man charged following investigation into stabbing at Kogarah Bay National News by NOTA - August 6, 2015 A man has been charged following investigations into a stabbing in Kogarah Bay. About 9.35pm (Tuesday 4 August 2015), emergency services were called to a home on Lacey Street, Kogarah Bay, following reports that a man had been stabbed. A 45-year-old man was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics for a stab wound to his chest. He was taken to St George Hospital where he remains in a serious condition. Initial investigations suggest an altercation took place between the 45-year-old man and a man known to him. During the altercation, the man allegedly produced a knife, and stabbed the 45-year-old man in the chest, before fleeing. A crime scene was established and investigations into the incident commenced. About 4.25pm today (Wednesday 5 August 2015), a 46-year-old man was arrested at St George Police Station. He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and was refused bail. He is due to appear at Sutherland Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 6 August 2015).
