Just after 11.30pm (Sunday 14 August 2016), police attended a home on Bathurst Road, Orange, following reports a man was acting suspiciously. Police searched the home and allegedly located and seized a sawn off rifle, ammunition, and cannabis. The 28-year-old man was taken to Orange Police Station and charged with possess shortened firearm, possess unregistered firearm, possess ammunition without holding a licence and possess prohibited drug. He was refused bail to face Orange Local Court today (Monday 15 August 2016).
