About 3.30pm (Sunday 14 August 2016), a 52-year-old man was at a cemetery on Linden Parade, when he was allegedly seen with a firearm. Officers from Sutherland Local Area Command were notified and before attending they were told the man was seen leaving in a black Honda sedan. Police stopped a black Honda Sedan at the intersection of Grand Parade and Linden Parade and spoke to the 52-year-old driver, before searching him and the vehicle. During the search, police allegedly located and seized a shotgun, five knives, a meat cleaver, box cutter tool, rope, tape, cannabis and methamphetamine. He was refused bail to face Sutherland Local Court today (Monday 15 August 2016).
