WITH the weather we are having and the course looking like a picture it’s a pleasure to be out having a hit or lots of them in some cases.

Make sure you all have a partner lined up for next week’s foursome championships .

On Saturday forty five played in the Fortade sponsored monthly medal won by Brad Fortescue playing off a handicap of 4 . Runner up and winner of the Spoon was Mr Consistency Allan Clarke.

WIthout checking records he’s probably won or been runner up around 100 times .Scotts Head boys Paul Donges won the B grade and Tony Henshaw C grade.

Some of the younger men showed their skills with the nearest pins.

They were Curtis Ellis, Dale Bunton , Boyd Bartlett and Murray Spear with the more experienced Mal Lam and Max Graham saving face for the mature aged.

After the first round of the ladies championship Naikki Laird is leading with Carmel Fruedenstein in second place .

The Golf club sponsored midweek competition was won by Brad Hoare.
