SATURDAY’S Stroke event sponsored by Sables Metaland produced some “hot” scores. Although he didn’t win, special mention should be made that Ross Donnelly had a Don Bradman like day – Ross had a one over par gross 73 which is some 4 or 5 shots less than his age – great golf.

Winner of the Medal was Darren Pike with Andrew Black winning the Spoon on a countback from Ross Donnelly.

Nearest the pins were Allan Clarke (A) and Jim Wilkes (B) with no C grade winner.

David Hosking up for the weekend won the Mid Week Competition with Steve Hunt runner up.

David’s brother Steve was the winner of the Chook Run with Don Forrester runner up.

The ladies surrendered their Tuesday event to allow local and visiting Veteran Golfers to have the course for their competition.

The “Vets” will support Macksville for two weeks.
