THE third round of the Club championships, sponsored by the Brunsdon family was played on a very wet course, which proved difficult for some.

The A grade saw Allan Clarke leading the gross event, a position he has been in thirty five years previously.

In the runner up position, Mike Simpson with Darren Pike maintaining their lead in the Net event ahead of Max Graham.

In B grade Jeff Gore got the lead ahead of John 40 (Fortescue).

The 4th round will be interesting as at least four players are in contention.

Playing conditions have meant nothing to Paul Donges – he’ll have to ‘stumble at the barrier’ to be beaten in the C grade championships.

Had his handicap been a couple of shots lower in the first round, he would have had a good lead in B grade.

While his handicap has now dropped to B grade level players finish the championships in the grade they started.

Jordan Welsh has won the junior Championship played over two rounds.

Gus Single was runner up with Cooper Trisley the Net winner ahead of Justin.
