A BIG weekend had been planned with the monthly medal and spoon and the play off for the overall annual medal and spoon winners on Saturday and on Sunday Macksville’s Open Day.

Until rain and hail put a stop to the Robyn Marsay and Craig Marsay Glass and Aluminium sponsored event on Saturday the early starters were able to get their game in untroubled.

Late starters had to seek shelter.

Geof and Lorraine Christian who live above the 5th green found new friends on their verandah.

The Medal of Medals was won by Curtis Ellis ,while the Spoon of Spoons was abandoned with all contestants playing in the later groups (hailed out)

Dane Luffman won both the monthly Medal and Spoon with the best gross and net scores.

Jim Katsoolas won B grade while Tony Grebert won C grade.

Out of the six nearest the pins available only Roy Rudner was able to hit the green.

Carmel Fruedenstein advised the ladies to avoid wet feet by cancelling midweek golf.
