ON Saturday 6 March the C.ex Group will host the Lovebites Charity Ball to raise funds to support the Love Bites Program through the Coffs Coast Committee Against Family and Domestic Violence.

The Love Bites and Love Bites Junior programs are educational programs that focus on the development of respectful relationships and violence prevention for Years 7-10, in schools and other settings about healthy relationships.

The program helps shift attitudes, norms and behaviours that enable, excuse, or minimise the extent and impact of violence.

The overall aims of the program are to equip young people with the knowledge needed to have respectful relationships, encourage and develop their skills in critical thinking and assist them in being able to problem solve and communicate effectively.

The Love Bites Charity Ball aims to raise awareness and vital funds to support the Love Bites program on the Coffs Coast with 100% of ticket proceeds going directly to the Love Bites Program through the Coffs Coast Committee Against Family and Domestic Violence.

The event is proudly sponsored by C.ex Group and National Association for Prevention of Child abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN); and supported by NSW Police and Regional NSW.

C.ex Group Marketing Manager Shona Hunter said, “The C.ex Group has long been a supporter of local initiatives that are important to our community and the Lovebites Programs is a fantastic way for us to give back to our community.

“We heard about the Lovebites Program, via Kiah Bowen, Region Domestic Violence Coordinator of NSW Police Force and Meena Johnson, President of the Coffs Coast Committee Against Domestic and Family Violence, and immediately wanted to get involved and contribute in any way we could to assist with getting the Program awareness and funds that it needs.

“We envisage that this program will be run at every high school in the Coffs Coast electorate which can only be beneficial for our children and community.”
