The Concert entitled Love Your Life is accompanied by an afternoon tea which will cater to 100 over 60’s in the Seascapes Room at Soldiers’ Point Bowling Club on Friday, 22 February from 2.00pm.

The singers theme this year is “Singing for Health”.

Jeanette Antrum President of the Seaside Singers Told News Of The Area, “The Seaside Singers are encouraging seniors who like to sing to come along and join our community choir.”

No auditions required to join the choir, just a love of singing.

“The rewards of joining the group are huge, with the opportunity to meet new friends, reduce the loneliness caused by social isolation and experience the wonderful feeling as the endorphins released by singing together, flood through your body,” she said.

The Seaside Singers meet at the Community Centre at Tomaree every Tuesday night for 2 hours from 7.00pm.

This year’s concert will feature some fun songs and a couple of the songs the group learnt in Japan, which they recently toured, as well as the usual sprinkling of songs that seniors know and love.

Only 100 places are available so would be concert goers are advised to book early and certainly before the 15th February.
