Louise Young and Christina du Fresne at Bulahdelah War Memorial Trust Hall Bulahdelah, Wootton, Nerong FEATURED by NOTA - October 29, 2014 AFTER the success of the inaugural event in 2012, organisers are happy to announce the return of the ‘Step Up’ exhibition at the Bulahdelah War Memorial Trust Hall. Step Up 2014 is a major exhibition of artists and artisans from the Myall Lakes and Bulahdelah area featuring contemporary and traditional painting, sculpture, ceramics, musical instruments, woodcraft, photography and embroidery. “There are many talented people hidden away in this area,” said event organiser Jeff Carryer. “The exhibition provides an opportunity for local artists to ‘step up’ and show case their works,” he said. The exhibition opens on Thursday 30th October at 7pm, with a Premier Preview. Tickets are $25/person which includes gourmet finger food, wine and a chance to mingle with the artists. It will then open to the public the next day, Friday 31st October from 10am until 4pm. It will continue over the weekend to coincide with the Bulahdelah Rock Rattle ‘n’ Roll and include demonstrations of artisan crafts such as boat building and luthiery.
