Look What’s Coming To The 101st Sawtell Super Fun Day on New Year’s Day

THE New Years Day’s Super Fun Day at Sawtell always has something for everyone but this year there will be two new attractions.

New is the giant Sky High Rock Climbing wall soaring 9.8 metres above the Sawtell Village Green.

Four climbers from beginner to experienced can ascend simultaneously and it is suitable for climbers from 20 to 120kg.

Also for the first time will be the Bucking Bull where budding rodeo riders can pit their skill against the might of Ferdinand, the angry Sawtell Bull.

If you are a connoisseur of classic cars, the Shannon’s Show and Shine display will be bigger and better in 2021.

On the new Centre Stage for 2021, a great line-up of local talent hosted by Moffee of Triple-M Coffs Coast leading up to the presentation of Sawtellian of the Year by local MP Gurmesh Singh at noon.

Following will be the inaugural award for the Young Sawtellian of the Year to be presented by Coffs Harbour Mayor, Cr Denise Knight to one of the young achievers who has made an outstanding contribution to the community of Sawtell in 2020.

As always there will be sprint races by Little Athletics, a Surf Life Saving Display, children’s activities, jumping castles and loads of food stalls

Sawtell’s Super Fun Day gets underway around 9.30am when the first of the 5km fun run participants arrives on the Village Green at the Sawtell Beach Holiday Park on Lyons Road.

Plenty of parking is available behind the tennis courts across Lyons Road. Just follow the signs.
