Whilst Jack’s Mum was doubtful he could get in touch with Kate and arrange the interview required, he persisted and one Friday when Kate had just returned from Parliament she received an urgent message from her office saying she must do this today as the assignment was due.

Jack Peck told News Of The Area, “I’d like to work with Kate in the future”.

The pair met recently in Medowie so that Jack could thank Kate for her time in answering his questions.

Kate told News Of The Area, “The idea that Jack thought of me for his project was beautiful. The questions made me think about the reasons why she is doing what she does and made her go back to basics.”

She also added that when he is thinking of work experience in Year 10 he should contact her office.

Jack added that he would like to work with Kate in the future.
