Local member for Port Stephens requests Community Forum for Medowie Medowie, Ferodale, Campvale by News Of The Area - Modern Media - August 23, 2016August 23, 2016 WHEN News Of The Area reporters approached Kate Washington, Member for Port Stephens, with requests from Medowie residents to speak with the Police about their concerns for our community, Ms Washington was quick to take action. Ms Washington spoke with officers at the NSW Police force station at Raymond Terrace, our local area command, to organise a community forum so that the residents of Medowie could voice their concerns about some less than positive things happening in our area. With an increase in reports of car theft, break ins, dangerous driving and assaults, residents are becoming vocal. They have had enough, and are wanting a platform to be heard, in a peaceful environment, free from judgement. The community forum will hopefully be that platform for those wishing to speak up. Ms Washington told News Of The Area, “This is the perfect opportunity for people to come along, and be heard.” Want your business advertised online with the News Of The Area? Port Stephens Police and Superintendent Craner, Commander Port Stephens Local Area Command, will host the Medowie Community Forum, and they invite the communities of Medowie, Ferodale and Campvale to attend. The meeting will be held at The Greenhouse, Pacific Dunes, Huntingdale Place, Medowie on Tuesday 30 August, 2016. All community members and business owners are welcome to come and meet with the NSW Police representatives, and discuss their concerns for our area. By Rachael VAUGHAN
