There are many different groups that access plants from the Ngioka Centre including Tidy Towns, Landcare groups, parks committees and members of the community. Margaret Wilkinson of the Corlette Landcare group told News Of The Area, “The Ngioka Centre will continue to operate as it has done in the past for the moment.” “Our local native endemic species supply is not under threat.” “The Ngioka Centre has lots of good strong healthy native plants available in all sizes; I urge the community to show their support for the long term running of the program which provides endemic species to the community,” she said. Steve Bernasconi of Port Stephens Council told News Of The Area, “Disabled people in our community deserve the best possible services that they can get.” “The service review has been deferred pending further discussions with councillors to determine the best future service model for the site,” he said.
