“The Lions Clubs have advised us they have sourced a grant of $28,000 from the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), and we’re able to contribute a further $12,000 to enable $40,000 in total for works at the Hall,” said Council’s Manager Property and Commercial Services, John Dougherty.
The funds will provide for installation of air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout the hall along with the upgrading of the Hall kitchen to a caterer’s style.
The kitchen will be fitted with new sinks and cupboards and have new appliances installed – including a large fridge / freezer and dishwasher.
“We’re pleased to be able to partner with the Lions Clubs to enable this significant upgrade to the public hall facilities for the Stroud community,” added John Dougherty.
Works are scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
