Laugh it Off Comedy Fundraiser at the Bowraville Theatre Nambucca Valley Nambucca Valley News by News Of The Area - Modern Media - March 6, 2022 Jessie and Dave Human will serve up a goldmine of stand-up comedy at the Bowraville Theatre. SO many businesses and industries have been badly affected by the COVID pandemic, with one of the worst hit being the entertainment industry. The volunteer operated Bowraville Theatre was just getting back on its feet and began to reopen in mid 2021 when more restrictions forced the iconic building to close up its doors once again. The bills kept coming and with no income from performances, things were starting to look grim. Enter stage left Human Rabbit Entertainment who have thrown the Bowraville Theatre a lifeline by presenting a side splitting night of stand-up comedy at the theatre to raise dollars that will help keep the theatre going as they shake off the pandemic. With the very appropriate name of ‘Laugh it Off!’, Coffs Comedy and Human Rabbit Entertainment will deliver five hilarious Mid North Coast comics in a night of stand-up that promises to be as unique as it is entertaining. It was Human Rabbit Entertainment who brought last year’s epic Koorie Comedy Showcase to Bowraville and this offering is rumored to be even better. Laugh it Off will feature stand-up legends Uncle Rudy Surina, Dave Human, Ben Stevenson, Bruce Miller, Kelly Mac and will be hosted by Jessie ‘Rabbit’ Human. The night will also feature Bowraville’s own Varoon making his stage debut. News Of The Area spoke to husband and wife team Dave and Jessie Human of Human Rabbit Entertainment about why they offered this opportunity to the Bowraville Theatre. “We love this beautiful old theatre and we want to see it keep on going,” said Dave Human. Jessie Human added, “It was at this theatre where our company put on its first shows so it has a special place in our hearts not to mention the wonderful team here at the Bowraville Theatre who are always so willing to help get a show on stage.” Laugh it Off will happen at 6:30 pm on Friday 18 March 2022 at the Bowraville Theatre, 74 High Street Bowraville. Human Rabbit Entertainment advise to buy your tickets now before they sell out. Tickets are $25 plus booking fee and can be purchased on Stickytickets.com.au. By Mick BIRTLES
