The day will be supporting the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation as part of their “Boot Out Breast Cancer” initiative.

The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation offers support and assistance to those receiving treatment for breast cancer in our local area.

The statistics are frightening with an estimated one in eight women in the Hunter region to be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime with approximately 600 new cases diagnosed in the region each year.

Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation offer various services including comfort packs that are provided free of charge to anyone undergoing breast surgery, house cleaning, lawn maintenance as well as free transportation to and from treatment and medical appointments.

However, on the 11th the action in the field will commence at 12.30pm with The Raymond Terrace Ravens taking on Aberglassyln in the Women’s League Tag.

At 1.30pm, The Raymond Terrace Magpies take on Stroud, with the third and final game in a huge day of football, sees the Mighty Magpies against Stockton.

However, on days such as this, the action on the field is secondary to the action off it.

For you to make a difference, all you need to do is pay your $2 entry fee at the gate and buy the odd raffle ticket.

All funds raised by the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation stay in the Hunter, helping patients focus on getting through their treatment for breast cancer and back to living the life they love.

Breast Cancer is a terrible disease and you never know when it will hit, so please do what you can and we’ll see you at Lakeside on the 11th.
