KRISTY Hodges’s recent Cystic Fibrosis (CF) fund-raising and awareness event raised almost $10,000.

Kristy told News Of The Area, “During the week we did a final count of monies raised and all payments and donations amounted to $9,171.05.”

This will help fund Kristy’s campaign to get CF medication, Trikafta on the Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

Kristy has a long list of thank-yous starting off with those who shared the Trikafta awareness element of her event.

“Supporting and promoting Trikafta awareness exceeds monetary value as I believe this is a topic which needs to be heard and we need to make people in power listen and see firsthand the results of this amazing drug.

Kristy, with life-long CF, was granted access to Trikafta in March 2020.

“Only those who are at the end of the road in their battle with CF have been granted access to this drug despite its successful use in the US, Europe and many other countries worldwide,” said Kristy.
