NEWCASTLE Parkour hosted a youth parkour workshop at the Hawks Nest Community Hall in the first week of the school holidays to celebrate Youth Week. The workshop focused on parkour based movements and techniques such as rolling, jumping, climbing and vaulting. Alex from Newcastle Parkour said, “We are in the business of developing strong, resilient people both physically and mentally.” Event Coordinator Brooke Feltis said, “It was fantastic to see local youth engage in such a fast-paced and fun-filled workshop. “For most youth, this was their first experience of parkour. “The workshop provided an opportunity to try a novel sport and learn new skills without having to travel out of town.” This youth week community event was proudly sponsored by the Tea Gardens Soccer Club.
