Then it was off to the Hunter Athletic stadium to compete in another six events in the Shield Competition. “She won four gold medals in the 100m, 200m, long jump and hurdles, bettering her personal bests in some events,” proud dad John McGregor said. “She rounded all this off competing in non regular events with a silver in the shot put and a bronze in the javelin.” Keira told News Of The Area, “It was a tough weekend with 2 competitions and 11 individual events in total, but I enjoy the challenges to help improve my performances for future big competitions.” The Medowie Christian Schoolgirl is having some down time ahead of training for regionals early in the new year. This weekend Keira had her normal Little Athletics competition at Raymond Terrace on Saturday, followed by the Macquarie Hunter Shield comp on Sunday. To start the weekend on the right note Keira broke the Raymond Terrace Club records for both the 100m and the long jump with very good time and distance, as well as winning the 800m and hurdles.
