Port Stephens is the chosen home to many senior residents and grandparents, including the 2016 Census’s oldest suburb in the country – Tea Gardens. Port Stephens’ residents have until Friday 17 August to nominate a local grandparent who supports young people through voluntary work or other special contribution. Nominations can be made to Kate Washington’s office by emailing portstephens@parliament.nsw.gov.au or calling 4987 4455. Extra special grandparents can also be nominated for the statewide NSW Grandparent of the year award.
