Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au She said, “We need a government that is prepared to act seriously on climate change and the devastating effects of extreme weather events, and immediately legislate towards net zero by 2030.” Ms Miller states that “the latest IPCC report has shown that without addressing the challenges of climate change, life as we know it is at stake”. “At this election, we can put the Greens in the balance of power and get Scott Morrison and the Coalition out. “If we don’t act now, we are on track for more climate catastrophes and an unlivable world. “Only The Greens have fought consistently on climate change, for donations reform and a Federal ICAC, to have dental and mental health included in Medicare, and affordable education for all Australians.” Ms Miller considers job security and employment for young people to be a huge issue throughout regional areas such as Woolgoolga and Coffs Harbour. She said, “We must create sustainable employment opportunities to bring locals above the poverty line.” Ms Millar says, by voting for her in the House of Representatives, and David Shoebridge in the Senate, you can be sure they won’t be influenced by coal and gas donors or big corporations, and the electorate gets the benefits of a party that is already achieving significant change in Parliament.
