Karuah Timber and Oyster Festival had everything for everyone FEATURED Karuah, North Arm Cove Photo Gallery by NOTA - October 19, 2014October 21, 2014 The 2014 Karuah Timber and oyster Festival was hail the best year ever according to locals and visitors on the day. It had it all this year. From acrobatic martial arts displays which included the breaking tiles by ones head, to fierce and competitive wood chopping including a chainsaw event. Myall Coast News was on the scene and we saw it all. The day started with an all inclusive kids fishing competition, hosted yet again by Commodore Ken Baker and members of the Karuah Motor Yacht Club. There were a load of stalls that included fashion, food, collectibles, services and advice. We saw Labor candidate Kate Washington who was very busy chatting to locals, so much so we didn’t stop to get her comments on this occasion. The kids sack race and the egg ‘n spoon race kept the children entertained throughout the whole day. Organisers did a tremendous job.
