Karuah Sharks Cricket team are into the Grand Final

Karuah Sharks u13’s have made the Grand Final in the Maitland competition.

Playing the semi final on a neutral ground at Shamrock at the back of Greenhill’s against Thornton Park.

With a win a piece in regular season, sharks losing the toss and sent into bowl.

Sharks bowling was tight from the first over with lots of talk and encouragement having Thornton 4 for 38 at the 12 over drinks break.

Sharks come out after the drinks break with the same intensity and keeping Thornton to 7 for 80 after 24 overs.

Sharks openers Lucas Barry and Will Smith keen to put on a good run chase, putting on 27 before Will was taken by a great catch for 8, at the 12 over drinks break 2 for 41.

A quick fire 5 from Riley Barry and a ‘not out’ Copper Bramston, an innings of 26 not out from Lucas Barry got the Sharks home.

Best bowlers for the Sharks were Jordan Barry 2 for 6.

Ben Woolard, Riley Barry, Cooper Bramston and Lucas Barry all taking a wicket each.

Coaches and parents all looking forward to the Grand final in Maitland against a team to be advised.

B GRADE Sharks travelled to Dungog to take on the Bunnys in the semi final at the school.

Sharks were sent into bat, Sharks enduring some tight bowling and fielding to post 144 runs.

Sharks were determined to keep the runs at a minimum and in doing so, bowled the Bunnys out for 88.

Sharks now take on the Farmers from grassy in Dungog for the chance to take on Clarence Town in the Grand Final.
