Karuah Museum official opening Karuah, North Arm Cove by NOTA - November 4, 2015 Members of the Karuah Working Together Committee are extending a warm welcome to visitors, friends and the community to attend the official opening of the Karuah Interpretive Centre/Museum. On Saturday 28 November from 11am, Dr Cameron Archer AM, retired Principal of Tocal College, Author and current President of Paterson Historical Society will be guest speaker and officially open the completed alterations at The Karuah Centre, which is located at 393 Tarean Rd Karuah. Karuah Working Together, and the Karuah Centre have extended activities to include an Interpretive Centre/Museum which will tell some of the history of the area. It offers information about the local Worimi community, the Old Australian Agricultural Company and the Oyster Industry as well as other interesting details. The Centre still operates all its other functions including – The Shed, Retail Shop and Craft Centre, computer courses and Visitor Information and produces the monthly newsletter ‘Karuah News’. Following the opening a light lunch will be available and an inspection of the alterations is welcomed.
