Karuah Motor Yacht Club members head to Bombah Point

You would be forgiven to disbelieve there was a huge down-poor and extreme weather last week when taking a look at some of the activities going on in the days just after.

Couples Bryan and Dianne Hemmings, Mark and Tracey Shearer, Paul and Julie Gallagher, along with Ken and Deanna Baker took time to talk to Myall Coast News on their relaxing weekend together at Bombah Point.

Dianne Hemmings said, “We are all members of the Karuah Motor Yacht Club.”

“After the horrific weather through the week and the devastation the floods have caused, the sun came out and we had glorious weather for the weekend,” said Ms Hemmings.

“The lake was just picture perfect even though the water level was up about 1.5m and the water a bit dirty from the flooding, it was incredible to see how high the lake had risen,” she said.
Ms Hemmings said, “A good time was had by all. We are all good friends

catching up over a few drinks with good food and a lot of laughs in a magnificent location.”
