The children recently took part in a three day sport and recreational camp in Forster on the State’s mid north coast.
Karuah Primary’s Relieving Assistant Principal Kath Henry told News Of The Area, “The camp is called OEEA, ‘Outdoor Education Experience Australia Adventure Land’.”
“The students experienced team challenges, individual sporting activities and whole group tasks,” Mrs Henry said.
School camps have certainly come a long way from the days of simple ball games and tug-a-rope when it comes to keeping students busy, involved and entertained.
“Their experiences included water slides, challenge ropes, flying fox, Zorb ball, canoeing, Mud World, games and challenge nights,” Mrs Henry said.
If you’re exhausted just reading about their activities, wait there’s more.
There was also archery and a giant swing to fill their days with fun and learning.
“The students had a fabulous time.”
“Special thanks to Mr Lawless and Mrs Edwards for supervising the students over the three day period.”
