
IT’S been a busy second term at the Karuah Public School for the pupils and teachers alike.

Relieving assistant principal Kath Henry told News Of The Area, “Students from Muswellbrook High came to visit with their Performing Arts Troupe.”
“Their acts included songs, dance and clown routines.”
“A huge thank you to Muswellbrook High School head teacher Jason Foy and music Teachers Laura Martin and Sam Pope for organising this event.”
The Muswellbrook students had performed to six schools in a week.
Kath Henry also paid tribute to the pupils who graduated from the ‘MiniLit’ program.
“The Literacy program focuses on intensive, small group teaching and learning sessions.”
“Congratulations to the students for all their hard work and persistence.”
Kath added, “Cherie Edwards and Mrs Johnson were the teachers who organised and implemented this successful program.”
“Vicki Gordon, one of Karuah PS hardworking SLSOs also was involved too.”
And special mention as well to Miss Sofie Dorney following her completion of a 10 week Teaching Internship at Karuah Public School with the Kindergarten One class.
‘’Her supervising teachers included Miss Laura Blatch and Mrs Cherie Edwards.”
Kath said, “Congratulations to Miss Dorney on her fantastic effort and professionalism towards her career in teaching.”
