The Karuah Rooettes continued to play smart with Georgia Napier crossing out wide for her first try of the competition. The Rooettes showing great disciple completing every set of six went into halftime leading 8-0. After forcing an error early into the second half with great defence from Tayla Wilson, the Rooettes capitalized through Tamara Smith scoring from dummy half. Karuah sticking to the game plan and with some smart ball movement Ebony Oakley crossed for back to back tries taking the score to 22-0. Next to get in on the action was Tayla Wilson barging over close to the line. Final stages of the game sore Lauren Davis force her way over the line as the siren sounded, leaving the final score Karuah 32 Tea Gardens 0. A flawless team effort by the Rooettes with players player going to Ebony Oakley. The second game of the day the Karuah Rooettes took on the fierce and undefeated Wangi Warriors. Karuah were determined to walk away handing Wangi their first defeat and after a gruelling back and forth first half the scores were locked at 4 all. Karuah started well in the second half scoring first and leading 8-4 with a few minutes remaining. And after an extremely fiery and exciting finish to the game the Rooettes went down 12 points to 8. Players player in this game was Ashley Bills. The Karuah Rooettes trained by Daniel Evans is currently sitting in the top 4 of the Central Coast and Hunter Rugby League Women’s 9’s comp. This week the Karuah Rooettes will travel down to Berkley Vale and with finals only 3 weeks away, the ladies will look to cement themselves in the top 4. By Sonja EVANS
