John Rumble of Hawks Nest First National Real Estate has taken out a Gold Award for his success in sales during 2014.

In previous years John has taken home a Silver Award but it is the first time he has scored gold at the First National State Awards.

“It was pretty exciting to hear I was getting the gold one,” he said.
To receive a Gold Award, a First National Real Estate agent must gross $350,000 to $500,000 per annum in sales.
In the 2014 calendar year John sold just under $11 million worth of property.

“It’s definitely harder to do in a regional area. I was up there with people from Wollongong and Sydney,” he said of receiving the award on Saturday 21 February in Woolloomooloo.

He said sales really picked up last year, especially with people investing in holiday homes in the area.

“Interest rates remain low and there are more holiday makers coming back into the market,” he said.

“It’s getting more affordable for professional couples to get a holiday home.”

Hawks Nest First National sells real estate ranging from Karuah to Nerong.

John said sales already looked to be moving well this year, “Things have kicked off well for us again,” he said.
